Tracking accuracy

Why do people quit tracking their food?

The most common reason people stop food logging is the belief that unless every gram is weighed exactly, the data is worthless. It is not.

Approximate data entered every day is far more useful than no data. Waiting for perfect conditions to start, or quitting because a restaurant meal can't be weighed, is what actually stalls progress. Precision anxiety is the real threat to progress, not imprecise data.
